Mahidol University International College: A Leading International Liberal Arts College

For more than three decades, Mahidol University International College (MUIC) has inspired innovation and fostered human potential. It continues to create new knowledge by integrating arts and sciences in an international environment, ultimately resulting in education, research, and services that serve the needs of society and benefit humankind.

International Network 

As Thailand’s globally recognized international liberal arts college, MUIC enjoys the robust support of an international network comprising 141 partner universities abroad. Multiculturalism is also one of the hallmarks of MUIC with 29 nationalities represented among its students, faculty and support staff. It has also a thriving foreign language program that offers Chinese, Japanese, French, Spanish, German and Thai language courses. Every year, the college has 520 inbound and outbound students. 

Innovative Curriculum 

True to its liberal arts roots, MUIC has recently launched its i-Design electives program which aims to produce multidisciplinary students who are ready for the 21^st Century society. The i-Design electives aim at effectively developing critical thinking skills, self-management, adaptability, strong communication skills, high literacy, and ability to easily synthesize ideas among the students.

These in turn would benefit students who are enrolled in MUIC’s 17 undergraduate programs: Media and Communication, Communication Design, International Relations and Global Affairs, Intercultural Studies and Languages, Business Economics, Finance, International Business, Marketing, Travel and Service Business Entrepreneurship, Applied Mathematics, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Food Science and Technology, Physics, Computer Engineering, and Creative Technology

and 2 graduate programs: Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Management in International Tourism and Hospitality Management (MM).

Key Achievements 

MUIC operates under the aegis of Mahidol University which is currently top-ranked in Thailand based on Times Higher Education, QS, Shanghai ARW, and US News. It is also accredited with AACSB, AUN, TEDQUA-UNWTO and NEAS. 

In the field of academic research, MUIC faculty and staff are also deeply involved as shown by 242 research articles published in top-ranked journals in the last five years (including Web of Knowledge and Scopus database).

Successful Alumni 

In the past 36 years, MUIC has produced 20,500 successful alumni who now occupy prominent and influential positions in government, the business sector, and non-government institutions.
